For the last 10+ years, I've primarily worked with startup and early-stage technology entrepreneurs in Southwestern Ontario and the organizations supporting them to help build stronger tech companies and accelerate regional economic development. Currently working with TechAlliance, the Regional Innovation Centre for London and the surrounding area under the Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation's Ontario Network of Excellence program. In 2004, I founded WatStart, the Waterloo Technology Startup Network with Tech Capital Partners, and the following year started up Communitech's venture services group, overseeing initiatives related to startups for over three years. I've also worked with the Accelerator Centre and the University of Waterloo's Office of Research, and provided advisory services through MaRS' Business Mentorship and Entrepreneurship Program. From 1997 to 2010, I published the Waterloo Tech Digest, delivered to 5,000 subscribers each month.
